New Delhi, May 2 – Prominent Lokpal representative, Ajay Kumar Tripathi, aged 62, passed away due to complications related to COVID-19 at AIIMS on Saturday evening.

He had been receiving treatment at the AIIMS Trauma Center, a facility designated for COVID-19 patients, since April 3. Tragically, Tripathi experienced a sudden cardiac arrest at approximately 8:30 pm. He was in critical condition, under intensive care, and supported by a ventilator at the time of his demise.

Throughout his career, Tripathi was instrumental in advancing the cause of the anti-corruption watchdog, Lokpal.
