Brief Bio :

Dr. Srinivas Rajkumar had his schooling at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kanyakumari. After his schooling, he continued to pursue MBBS from Madurai Medical College, Madurai, then an MD from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He was an active participant in anti-NMC protests which advocated bridge courses and was anti-people. In 2020, He was elected as the General Secretary of the Resident Doctors’ Association, AIIMS, New Delhi which saw a record participation of residents. He and RDA AIIMS actively raised concerns regarding the COVID19 preparedness of India and the issues faced by health care workers. He is a popular Psychiatrist currently practicing in Chennai.

Dr. Srinivas Rajkumar T did his under graduation (MBBS) from Madurai Medical College, then did this post graduation (MD in Psychiatry) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi. He is a popular Psychiatrist currently practicing in Chennai. He is proficient in Child & Adolescent, General Adult, Deaddiction and Geriatric Psychiatry. He believes in comprehensive evaluation of mental health conditions following a biopsychosocial approach. He is a patient listener who understands the needs of both patients and family members and helps them understand the illness and make well informed treatment decisions. Treatment usually involves a combination of medications, therapy and behavioral interventions to ensure best possible recovery.

He has been a pioneer in working with cutting edge devices and techniques for the treatment of mental health conditions. He is well versed with treatment modalities like Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), Ketamine Therapy etc.

He is an avid leader and teacher. He has worked with NGOs, Colleges, Schools, Technology Companies, TV/Media/News organizations to promote mental health literacy and also deliver mental health care interventions to all strata of the society.

He routinely addresses mental health conditions like ADHD, Autism, Intellectual Disability, Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorder, Anxiety, Sleep disturbances, Addiction, Dementia, OCD, Behavioral Issues in Elderly etc and ensures they are treated optimally based on best prescription standards meeting global standards. Patients require careful attention to past psychiatric history, comorbidities and other medications they are on to ensure that they get the right medication for their diagnosis with least side effects. We at have developed a patient friendly psychiatry evaluation process to make sure these goals are met.

To address the underdiagnosis of dementia and mental health conditions for patients who continue to receive treatment for other conditions, we have set up a Mind and Memory Clinic where Mental Health Professionals (Psychiatrist and Psychologist) work closely with Geriatricians to address this gap in diagnosis and treatment.
